Q. IN APRIL 1994, X QUOTED A LINE FROM A VERY POPULAR ROCK SONG BY Y THAT APPEARED IN Y'S 1979 ALBUM "RUST NEVER SLEEPS" IN A LETTER ADDRESSED TO HIS ALTER EGO, WHICH LED TO Y DEDICATING HIS 1994 ALBUM "SLEEPS WITH ANGELS" TO X. Z HAPPENED TO BE THE ONLY ROCK-STAR TO BE DIRECTLY NAMED BY X IN THAT LETTER. WHO IS X? WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS LETTER?

  1. Indeed.
Kurt Cobain quoted a line from Neil Young's famous song My My, Hey Hey - " It's better to burn out than to fade away" in his suicide note which he wrote in the form of a letter to his alter ego Boddha. Neil Young was shocked when he heard the news, and dedicated his album "Sleeps with Angels" to Kurt. And Freddie's name was also there in the note.
