    The famous line subtly put by Doyle as the first sentence in "A Scandal in Bohemia" describing Irene Adler - "To Sherlock Holmes, she is always THE WOMAN".
    The ladies in the pictures are of those who have played Irene Adler on screen or in Broadway.
